Mission Statement

To organize the downtown development advocates in
Washington Court House in order to share methods and
techniques to improve downtown and to bring to bear the
importance of the contribution that the central business
district provides within our community.

To encourage, promote and assist the economic, civic and
cultural development of downtown Washington Court
House, Ohio in every way by such means that will improve
the normal growth, employment opportunities, stability of
employment in existing businesses and organizations,
advancement of the cultural, civic and commercial life of
the community and strengthen the general economy of the
downtown area and therefore the community and county as
a whole.

To organize community events as a marketing tool that will
bring awareness of downtown businesses and organizations
and encourage patronage by citizens within our community
and our region.

To relieve condition of poverty, dependency, chronic
unemployment, underemployment, combat community
deterioration and reduce community tensions in
Washington Court House, Ohio.

To encourage businesses and organizations to hire a
significant number of unemployed or underemployed
persons and to train such persons to enhance their job skills.

To encourage purchasers of downtown commercial property
to make physical and aesthetic improvements to their
property that will enhance and improve the overall
attractiveness to the downtown area to promote continued
downtown development.

To further the efforts of other community non-profit
organizations by offering venues for them to promote their
causes and/or to raise monies to benefit their organization(s).
